Laser raindrop spectrometer is a professional meteorological instrument that obtains raindrop spectra by sampling precipitation particles. It can monitor precipitation particle spectra and precipitation weather phenomena.The YD1 type Laser raindrop spectrometer is a domestically developed high-precision precipitation detection device. It can identify various rain and snow conditions, surpassing traditional rain gauges and meeting the requirements for precise observation of rain and snow. Utilizing high-precision laser technology, it achieves high-precision detection of rainfall, snowfall, and hail. It is currently one of the most advanced weather phenomenon detection devices internationally, with technology reaching international advanced levels. It features stable performance, high detection accuracy, and unattended operation, meeting the operational requirements of professional meteorological observation. Measurable precipitation types include: drizzle, showers, rain, sleet, snow, sleet, freezing rain, hail, and all other weather phenomenon indicators.
2、Laser raindrop spectrometer Working Principle
The YD1 type Laser raindrop spectrometer is based on the principle of precipitation particle attenuation of linear laser light. Utilizing optical spectroscopic processing technology, it can accurately measure the diameter, velocity, and distribution density of precipitation particles (liquid, solid, and mixed) as they instantaneously pass through the laser surface. Combined with extensive software calculations and analysis, it gathers raindrop spectrum indices to measure meteorological parameters such as rainfall intensity, cumulative rainfall, weather phenomena, and visibility, achieving an accuracy rate exceeding 95%. This powerful instrument can measure over ten meteorological parameters, making it a high-performance meteorological instrument integrating all-weather rain gauge, weather phenomenon identification, and visibility measurement functions.
3、Laser raindrop spectrometer Functions and Technical Features
1. Weather Phenomenon Monitoring: Directly outputs weather codes such as drizzle, light rain, moderate rain, heavy rain, hail, snow, fog, etc.
2. Artificial Rain Enhancement Assessment: Analyzes rainfall variations over time and region through network detection to quantitatively assess the effectiveness of artificial rain enhancement.
3. Precipitation Measurement: Directly replaces tipping bucket rain gauges, measuring precipitation distribution and amount without considering precipitation density, duration, or type.
4. Road Condition and Weather Warning: Measures weather phenomena and visibility, applicable to highway management and airport takeoff and landing management.
5. Early Flood Warning: Quickly and accurately measures precipitation amount and distribution, providing real-time data for early flood warning.
6. Monitors airborne particle size and velocity distribution with high accuracy, precisely measuring important meteorological parameters such as particle size and velocity for each type of precipitation.
7. Utilizes maintenance-free laser technology, has no moving parts, and is suitable for unattended and reliable operation.
8. Features lightning protection and automatic heating functions, with software control enabling power-saving and self-heating operations.
9. Streamlined shield design significantly reduces wind disturbance, allowing precipitation particles to freely enter the optical measurement area.
10. Low power consumption design: static power consumption 1.5W; stronger instantaneous heating capability, 100W heating power (optional).
