Dust Monitoring Equipment: Comprehensive Monitoring & Control in Construction Projects
Article source:Weather station time:2025-06-20 09:45:29 viewed:220times
In the field of construction engineering, dust pollution persists in housing construction, municipal construction, and state-owned land demolition projects. Meanwhile, noise pollution from construction machinery and equipment operation is also prevalent in the construction of public facilities such as subway systems and highways, as well as in industrial and civil building construction. These pollutions not only interfere with the work of on-site construction personnel but also seriously affect the lives and physical and mental health of surrounding residents.
Construction dust originates from a wide range of sources. Material transportation and stacking, vehicle transportation, earthwork excavation, and non-standard management are all major causes. When vehicles are transporting materials, the dust and floating soil carried on their bodies are prone to cause secondary pollution under the action of traffic flow and wind. If the materials stacked in earthwork operations are not properly handled, they will also become a source of dust. Construction noise mainly comes from the operation of mechanical equipment in such links as earthwork excavation, piling, structural construction, and decoration.
To address these issues, we have launched Dust Monitoring Equipment, which consists of a monitoring equipment layer, a data processing and transmission layer, and a cloud service platform. The monitoring equipment layer uses sensors to collect on-site data such as noise, wind speed, temperature, and humidity. After processing, the data is transmitted to the cloud service platform through a communication network and displayed in real time on the on-site LED screen. When the noise exceeds the standard, the noise sensor feeds back information to make the alarm sound, reminding personnel to adjust the construction arrangement. When the dust concentration is too high, the dust sensor triggers the water pump to spray water for dust suppression. For areas that cannot be covered by the enclosure spray, the tower crane spray system and fog cannon machine can be linked to enhance the dust suppression effect.
The data processing and transmission layer relies on the mobile communication network to transmit various data to the data storage system. With a portable industrial computer as the core, it carries out preliminary statistical analysis and completes tasks such as data sending and equipment status monitoring according to background instructions. The background can set the threshold values of environmental factors. When the thresholds are exceeded, early warning information will be sent to relevant personnel through channels such as text messages and APPs.
