Road Weather Station: Monitoring for Safe Highways
Article source:Weather station time:2024-09-25 09:06:53 viewed:469times
With the rapid development of expressways, various safety issues centered on highway transportation have increasingly become the focus of people's attention. Ensuring its normal and safe operation plays a crucial role in the development of social economy. However, harsh meteorological environments are one of the key factors that directly and seriously affect traffic safety.
Therefore, for expressway meteorological monitoring systems, the collection of information on meteorological conditions and road status is extremely necessary, especially for the western coastal expressway in coastal areas where the weather conditions are relatively harsh.
The Road Weather Station is composed of five major meteorological elements and focuses on monitoring key meteorological information such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind direction, and wind speed. When the monitored environmental data exceeds the preset threshold, the system can issue an alarm and provide data support for issuing relevant warning information.
The front-end equipment of the monitoring system is equipped with high-resolution network cameras that support full high-definition video quality of 1080p, ensuring high image clarity. These cameras can monitor the monitored area around the clock. Whether during the day, at night, or under harsh weather conditions, the monitoring center can clearly receive video images from the front-end site.
Overlay environmental data in character form onto the camera video signal, including real-time meteorological parameters such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind direction, and wind speed. In this way, monitoring personnel can intuitively understand the current meteorological conditions of bridges through the video monitoring system.
The system that combines meteorological information and video monitoring can display data such as temperature and humidity on the monitoring image in real time. In this way, monitoring personnel can quickly understand the weather conditions in places such as bridges. If the weather is bad, the system will alarm to help people deal with it in time and ensure driving safety.
