The working principle is based on the forward scattering method: the device emits infrared light and detects the intensity of light scattered by aerosol particles in the air. Through a dedicated mathematical model, it calculates the "meteorological optical range" to derive the visibility value. The advantage of this method is that it can perform effective measurements even in light rain, light snow, or misty weather conditions.
The data monitored by the system is transmitted to the control center in real-time, providing a basis for traffic management. When visibility becomes too low, the system promptly issues warning information and notifies management personnel and drivers through various means to enhance driving safety.
