FT-GQX8 Road Weather Information System: Comprehensive Meteorological Monitoring for Traffic Safety
Article source:Weather station time:2025-10-22 09:26:51 viewed:500times
Adverse weather conditions can easily cause safety hazards such as road icing and low visibility, posing serious threats to highway operations and public travel. Traditional meteorological monitoring methods suffer from insufficient data diversity and delayed response, making it difficult to meet the refined needs of modern traffic management.
The FT-GQX8 Road Weather Information System adopts a highly integrated design, combining eight types of monitoring elements including visibility, road surface conditions, temperature and humidity, wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, and rainfall. It achieves 5m-10km visibility monitoring (with accuracy up to ±2%) through forward scattering technology, and can simultaneously detect road surface conditions such as water accumulation, ice cover, and snow cover through infrared remote sensing technology, enabling comprehensive detection of traffic meteorological environments.
Visibility monitoring adopts the aerosol forward scattering principle, converting scattered light intensity into meteorological optical range (MOR) through a microprocessor mathematical model.
The ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor detects through continuous frequency conversion signal phase difference, avoiding physical obstruction interference, with measurement accuracy up to ±0.1m/s.
The piezoelectric rain sensor applies PVDF piezoelectric film and AI neural network algorithm to effectively distinguish raindrops from vibration noise, with error controlled within ±4%.
The device adopts an industrial-grade standard design, with sensors operating across a temperature range of -40℃ to +60℃, adapting to extreme environments. Equipped with a dual power supply system (solar/mains electricity) and standard GPRS wireless transmission, it ensures continuous and stable data upload. The manufacturing enterprise has passed ISO triple system certification and 3A credit rating, with comprehensive software and hardware qualification guarantees.
The CS architecture-based cloud platform supports multi-terminal access and provides core functions such as real-time data dashboard, historical curve analysis, and threshold alarm. The platform supports multi-protocol forwarding including HJ-212 and TCP, has data post-processing capabilities, and can achieve customized expansion through JavaScript scripts, providing technical support for decision-making.
By constructing a real-time traffic meteorological perception network, the FT-GQX8 Road Weather Information System provides accurate early warning and judgment basis for management departments. Monitoring data can directly serve emergency response measures such as speed limit control and de-icing operations, effectively reducing traffic accident rates caused by meteorological factors. The distributed architecture design of the cloud platform meets the collaborative needs of multi-level management departments, promoting the transformation of highway safety management from passive response to active prevention.
