Since 2010, multiple departments have successively introduced policies to support and standardize the development of the smart highway industry, covering technical routes, development indicators, and other aspects of smart highway development.

The Fengtu Road Weather Station is mainly composed of an atmospheric visibility detector and real-time meteorological sensors. By comprehensively applying acquisition and control technology, computer software technology, remote communication technology, etc., it achieves real-time monitoring and diagnosis of highway environments under severe weather through building a flexible and efficient management system, a complete monitoring system, and unobstructed meteorological information transmission channels. Through remote transmission technology, it timely collects and transmits various data to traffic management departments, assisting in highway safety management and travel meteorological early warning, and providing efficient technological support for traffic meteorological services.
