Beyond Gas and Particles: The Versatile Air Quality Monitoring Station
Article source:Weather station time:2025-08-07 09:12:58 viewed:268times
The Air quality monitoring station is a device capable of real-time monitoring of various environmental elements. It can conduct real-time online monitoring of the concentrations of four gases, namely carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), and ozone (O₃), as well as two types of dust particles, PM2.5 and PM10. It also has the ability to detect five meteorological elements such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and air pressure. Some devices can even be optionally equipped with parameter monitoring functions for TVOC, H₂S, NH₃, etc., according to needs.
CO is a colorless and odorless toxic gas, mainly derived from automobile exhaust, industrial waste gas emissions, etc. The Air quality monitoring station can monitor changes in the concentration of CO in the air, providing a basis for relevant departments to grasp the pollution situation in a timely manner. For inhalable particles such as PM2.5 and PM10, which can cause damage to the human respiratory system, the monitoring station can accurately measure their content in the air, allowing people to have an intuitive and clear understanding of air quality.
The Air quality monitoring station is mainly composed of a power supply system, an electric control box, monitoring equipment, supporting components, and a big data platform. The power supply system uses solar cells or municipal electricity, without being restricted by external power supply. The electric control box has functions such as a transmission module, temperature compensation, and anti-cross-interference. The sensors in the monitoring equipment have fast response speed, high resolution, and good linearity. The collected data is quickly transmitted to the big data platform through communication methods such as 4G and Ethernet interfaces. The platform presents the data in a visual way, facilitating users' remote monitoring and analysis. The data can also be stored in the built-in large-capacity SD card, which can be saved for a long time, facilitating subsequent query and in-depth research.
By rationally arranging multiple Air quality monitoring stations, a comprehensive air quality monitoring network can be built, providing detailed data for urban environmental management departments and helping them formulate scientific and effective air pollution control strategies. In industrial parks, it can monitor the exhaust gas emission of enterprises in real time. Once excessive pollutants are found, it can issue an alarm in a timely manner, urging enterprises to rectify and reduce the pollution of industrial exhaust gas to the atmosphere. Monitoring in areas with heavy traffic such as transportation hubs and main roads helps to understand the impact of motor vehicle exhaust emissions on air quality, providing data support for traffic management departments to formulate traffic diversion and exhaust emission reduction measures.
