Visibility is a measure of the maximum distance at which an observer can clearly distinguish a target, which is affected by airborne particles such as smoke, dust, fog and rain, etc. The Visibility meter, based on the principle of forward scattering of light and infrared detection technology, is able to accurately measure the amount of these airborne particles and thus assess the visibility of the atmosphere.
The Visibility meter is designed with an integrated structure to ensure stable operation in a variety of harsh field environments. Considering that field monitoring sites are often exposed to high levels of pollution, the observatory is built to strict industrial control standards with robust protection features including wind, rain and corrosion resistance.
It is equipped with flexible data transmission options, including two main methods: wired and wireless. In terms of wired transmission, it connects to the PC in the monitoring center through standard RS232 and RS485 communication interfaces, which support a communication distance of up to 1,000 meters, ensuring real-time data transmission and high efficiency.
The advantage of wireless communication is that it can realize real-time data collection from one central monitoring station to multiple remote monitoring points, which increases the flexibility and coverage of the monitoring network.
With air quality becoming an increasingly important issue, visibility has become one of the key factors for traffic safety. In order to provide more accurate visibility data, existing monitoring needs require a combination of fixed monitoring sites and mobile monitoring methods.
Fengtu also offers Handheld visibility detector, which can be equipped with portable mounts as needed to adapt to different monitoring environments and conditions. Whether on city streets, highways or remote areas, the observatory can be quickly deployed to provide real-time, accurate visibility information for traffic safety management and environmental monitoring.
