Dust Monitoring Systems: Real-Time Solutions for Urban Dust Pollution Control
Article source:Weather station time:2025-05-19 10:03:59 viewed:457times
With the acceleration of urbanization, the scale of operations such as construction sites, road construction, and mining has continuously expanded, making dust pollution an increasingly prominent issue and a "tough nut" in air pollution control. Dust contributes 20%-30% to PM2.5 and PM10, severely affecting air quality, endangering residents' health, reducing quality of life, and potentially triggering respiratory diseases. Traditional dust monitoring methods have drawbacks such as low manual inspection frequency, inaccurate data, and delayed responses, failing to meet the refined and real-time needs of modern environmental supervision.
Dust detectors, based on various sensors, can conduct 24-hour uninterrupted monitoring of construction site dust. They can accurately measure real-time concentrations of particulate matter such as PM2.5 and PM10 in the air, while simultaneously monitoring meteorological parameters like wind speed, wind direction, temperature, and humidity. Once dust concentration exceeds a preset threshold, the monitor immediately issues an alarm to remind supervisors and construction enterprises to take timely dust suppression measures, such as activating sprinkler systems, increasing water spraying frequency, and covering exposed soil.
Currently, dust detectors are widely used in construction sites, industrial parks, urban roads, mines, and storage yards. They provide timely and accurate dust pollution information for environmental protection departments and construction units, enabling comprehensive supervision from source to end, effectively controlling dust pollution, improving air quality, promoting the development of green buildings, and fostering the sustainable development of the construction industry.
