Ultrasonic Snow Depth Detector utilizes ultrasonic ranging to identify and measure snow depth. It offers high accuracy, supports unattended operation, and allows for multi-point network monitoring. Ultrasonic Snow Depth Detector is a professional snowfall observation device that effectively solves the technical challenge of ordinary sensors failing to identify snow, ensuring stable and reliable overall measurement accuracy. The device uses the basic principle of ultrasonic ranging: the sensor emits sound waves that reflect off the snow surface. The system calculates the round-trip time of the sound wave, converts it to the distance between the sensor and the snow surface, and combines this with the device's fixed installation height to obtain the actual snow depth. Furthermore, it can analyze the changes in snowfall per unit time based on the monitoring data.
Ultrasonic Snow Depth Detector can be built into an unattended automatic snow depth monitoring and alarm system, eliminating the need for long-term on-site personnel. The equipment supports multi-point network deployment, simultaneously collecting snow condition information at different monitoring points. The collected data can be transmitted to a central control center via a GPRS wireless network for centralized processing. Management personnel can view real-time snow thickness at each point through terminal devices, receive early warning alerts when snow accumulation reaches a set threshold, and promptly take appropriate action.
Ultrasonic Snow Depth Detector has fixed technical parameter standards, with a snow thickness measurement range of 0-2000mm, a resolution of 1mm, and an accuracy of 1mm ± 0.2% F.S. It can capture subtle changes in snow thickness and output accurate and stable monitoring values. The equipment is adaptable to various complex outdoor environments and can be placed at field locations for long-term, uninterrupted monitoring, reducing the frequency of manual on-site measurements and mitigating the operational risks associated with manual field monitoring in frigid weather.
